Expectation and Emotion

I’ve been Pondering;

“You see and feel what you expect to see and feel. The world as you know it is a picture of your expectations. … You are a creator translating your expectations into form. … The exterior appearance is a replica of inner desire. … You have only to use your ability consciously, to examine the nature of your thoughts and feelings and project those with which you basically agree.
They coalesce into the events with which you are so intimately familiar. … I hope to teach you to understand the nature of your own reality, and point a way that will let you change that reality in whatever way you choose.”
Jane Roberts; The Nature of Personal Reality preface pg xx

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mark 9:23 (KJV)

It’s our strong expectations that have material effects, not the mere negative or positive thought. If we find ourselves expecting what we don’t want, we should never repress, rather should consciously search to understand the underlying beliefs and the collaborating references that allow us to change them into more empowering beliefs and the resultant expectations that naturally follow to bring the desired experience.

Expectation is so important, I am amazed we hear so little of its part in purposeful creation or deliberate manifestation. Here’s more Seth:

ES2 Session 75: “Inadequate perception, manipulation, or construction in the psychological structure of consciousness survival leads to the psychological creation of fear and hatred.
The individual then constructs fear and hatred into physical construction, giving fear and hatred definite physical form. The error is in the original inability to perceive the correct inner data, the basic underlying psychological structure of consciousness survival. … Habitual errors become part of the psychological perspective.

(Pg 272) I am leading up to the part that expectation plays in the construction of your physical environment. … your perception, clear psychological understanding, intuitive comprehension of, and manipulation and psychological construction of these basic structures, will determine the validity of your material constructions that will then form your environment.”

ES2 Session 76: “I will, then begin with a short treatise concerning the importance of expectation, not only in the construction of physical objects from inner data, but also in the importance played by expectation in the actual sifting of inner data that is received, and in the importance of expectation in the interpretation of inner data after the sifting process has been carried about. (Rob: “Do you mean carried out?”)
Carried About. Expectation, perhaps more than any other quality, characterizes the individual, and represents the innermost aspects of his personality. It is the framework for his physical constructions, and more than atoms and molecules it represents the psychic building blocks from which his constructions will be erected.
We have already spoken of psychic constructions, and we have said that physical shapes are built upon inner psychic frameworks. Emotions then, in their own realm unperceived by the outer senses, have their own solidity, shape, and it is from these that your expectations are formed.
The emotions indeed do form the expectations, and it is is not the other way around.
As physical objects can be manipulated, so can the emotions be manipulated, so can they be combined into various shapes and psychic constructions. A man’s expectations are the result of his emotional heritage, and his own ability to understand and manipulate that heritage.
If he manipulates that heritage well, then his expectations will work for him. The emotions are to be used and enjoyed as psychic building blocks. …
Again, expectations are not only vital in the formation of physical constructions, but they also determine what inner data of all available, will be received by the individual; and then the individual interprets the data in terms of the same expectations.
The core of individuality, then, is the individual’s expectation, for he will truly get what he wants, individually and collectively. …
Expectation is actually the trigger that switches inner data into the realm of physical construction. Without it, no physical construction exists.”

Yes! That’s it, focus upon the better belief. Use your conscious mind to search out the collaborating references that reinforce and bolster the more empowering belief. Focus upon those present thoughts or even weak beliefs that have you seeing yourself (imagination) getting what you want.

Emotion and imagination follow your deliberate and conscious intent to turn weak beliefs into the empowering beliefs, emotions and the expectation that precedes physical experience.
You’ll start to attract and notice the collaborating synchronicities that allow all of us to conclude new empowering beliefs along with the emotions and expectations that make them reality.

Remember: Session 609: aka Seth’s Preface to The Nature of Personal Reality. Some of the best material is in the Preface.

“An examination of your conscious thoughts will tell you much about the state of your inner mind, your intentions and expectations, and will often lead you to a direct confrontation with challenges and problems.
Your thoughts, studied will direct you to see where you are going. They point clearly to the nature of physical events. What exists physically exists first in thought and feeling. There is no other rule.

You have the conscious mind for a good reason. You are not at the mercy of unconscious drives unless you consciously acquiesce to them. Your present feelings and expectations can always be used to check your progress. If you do not like your experience, then you must change the nature of your conscious thoughts and expectations. You must alter the kind of messages that you are sending through your thoughts to your own body, to friends and associates.”

Session 620 NPR Ch4 pg65-66: “Your beliefs generate emotion … your conscious thinking largely determines your emotions … your imagination of course fires your emotions, and it also follows your beliefs faithfully. … Before long physical data bears out the negative belief …”
Session 621 NPR Ch4 pg 69: “The conscious mind is a vehicle for the expression of the soul in corporeal terms. … Your beliefs automatically attract the appropriate emotions. They reinforce themselves through imagination; … imagination and feeling follow your beliefs. … the conscious mind gives its orders and the inner self carries them out.”

Session 76 says so much regarding how to change while making it clear, just as you say “past expectation draw proof unto themselves” but 76 also points out the error of lazily forming poor expectations (our ignoring their effects and throwing them to the wind in hope that when they fall down they might possibly fall into a castle):
As Seth also says in Session 76 ES2 Pg 276

“This is extremely valuable information, particularly concerning the part played by expectation in the sifting of available data. Expectation is somewhat influenced by past existences, and yet not enough to be binding upon the present personality.”

I believe your perception of “Value” (actually what you believe you value created from your discerned preferences/desires) provides the intensity behind emotion. But here too, you must also have an expectation of being proximity for that “valued precious” to manifest an intense emotion.

Recall the emotional difference between a phone call from your mother stating she will never call you again compared to a stranger calling from China telling you he’ll never call you again. The belief that neither will call again only becomes emotional when is regarding something you value. Of course the same is true of threatened loss of something you value when you expect to lose it.

Yes, you create. But not necessitatively what you desire or want, rather always according to what you expect. And you always expect according to what you believe and feel in your emotions which manifest according to what you believe about what you’re observing.

Choose wisely what you observe and even more important; choose carefully what you believe about what you observe.
Beliefs affect the emotions which drives your expectation which drives the creation of our physical realities.

I think linda is touching upon the key distinction seth is getting at when she speaks of there being a difference dependent on what you mean by “I”. The “I” of framework 2 is privy to perceive much more than the intellect, ego or conscious “I” of Frmwk 1. From the greater perspective it can easily be seen that much more is involved to cause an effect of true value fulment than the cause and effect relationships we objectively observe as physical factors of causality.
I however find it inescapable that at the utmost level of consciousness, psychic action in the context seth refers to action, produces or causes psychological change that in the english language is known as effect!

A few days ago, Ivan K. shared a quote from Abraham on Facebook:

Abraham on Feeling The Emotion That You Seek:

If you’re tuned in to the way you feel, you’re never in the dark about your relationship between where you are and where you want to be.

Source knows where you stand in relationship to everything you want and is delivering a viable, easy to see path that will lead you right to where you want to be. But you’ve got to do the thing that makes you SEE THE PATH. You’ve got to find the vibrational frequency that is somewhere in the vicinity of what you’re looking for.

So you’ve got to ALLOW yourself to be able to be on that frequency or you will not REALIZE the expansion or evolution.

You don’t even realize you are a translator of vibration, and that’s what your emotions are too. Your emotions translate vibration, they show you the frequency between what you have become and what you’re letting yourself be right here and now.

So if you will let your work be to talk yourself in to the unconditional feeling of the emotion that you seek, if you will do that just for a little while, one week about caring about how you feel and finding that unconditional feeling, your Point of Attraction will shift so dramatically, that so many of those thoughts will turn to so many things, that you will feel invincible in your being.

Carol B. responded with:     Been there done that, where’s my jackpot!!!
I responded:

Emotion reflects the discord or harmony between what you want and what you believe you’re about to possess.
The emotional frequency that leads you to where you want to be, that matters, is one best described as expectancy. It does little to just be fe
eling emotionally happy about the sunny day when what you’re really needing is the emotion of expectancy for that something special you desire maybe healing or prosperity.
Yes, the emotion of focusing on the pleasant warmth of the sun supports attracting more of the pleasant warmth of the sun you expect, but the emotion that will attract the healing or prosperity is the emotion one feels when they know they are about to receive their healing or prosperity. Understand how expectancy reflects your belief and how to change your present beliefs into expectancy and you’ll find yourself saying afterward, I expected it and sure enough found my jackpot.

Carol’s B. responded with – Well how do I change my beliefs into expectancy?
My Response:

Expectancy, like all beliefs, is formed from seeking and recognizing collaborative references sufficient to conclude the decision you realize or believe such thoughts are true of reality.

Expectancy comes first and foremost the result of a mental process! Regarding our physical realities, we form expectancy and all beliefs about such by making observations in terms of cause and effect.

What most people don’t realize is: we find what we’re seeking. Ie; you find what you’re looking for when you’re determined and even have a predetermined bias toward finding it.

In regards to creating the experiences you desire but don’t yet enjoy, new found expectation comes ONLY that way.

When you are determined to find the evidence that engenders expectation and are determined to find ways of overcoming opposing references/evidences, then you’ll find sufficient evidence to conclude the belief of expectation.

This is not just my method. It’s not even a new method. The concept is as old as the hills: see Joshua 1:8 for an example. If you want more on this, just ask for it (ask me or the universe) and if I can indulge in a little repetition, consider carefully the Betty Blackwell White suggestion: Read Ask and it is given.

And another thought, if I haven’t worn you out. Ponder the difference between recognition and realization. They are two sides of the same coin that in reality we call experience.

In the subjective reality there is no difference one side to the other, it’s just experience of an event. However, in our physical objective reality, every event gets viewed as an object with sides, insides and out, backs and fronts, recognition and realization. Events only appear as objects when we slow down the recognition/realization process, dissect the event into objective parts and put them into cause and effect relationship to better observe and experience our psychological events as having time and space characteristics.

Yup! and it really works! Because they believe they realize benefits. Because they realize benefits, they believe. We recognize and we realized and believe, but in actuality each cognitive recognition is also a realization and therefore it should be obvious: every cognitive event becomes real when an observer chooses or determines to observe it as real.

And so also it is with Christian prayers of Mark 11:24 faith.
Wonder why? See Seth ES 81 Pg 307-9 to realize:
What appears as camoflauge distortion and inconsistent to the rational mind actually is more reflective of our fuller realities than what is considered the hard evidence!

Believe it to Realize it

Basically, you create your experience through your beliefs about yourself and the nature of reality. Another way to understand this is to realize that you create your experiences through your expectations. Your feeling-tones are your emotional attitudes toward yourself and life in general. And, these generally govern the large areas of experience.

They give the overall emotional coloration that characterizes what happens to you. . You are what happens to you. Your emotional feelings are often transitory. But, beneath, there are certain qualities of feeling uniquely your own that are like deep musical chords. While your day-to-day feelings may rise or fall, these characteristic feeling-tones lie beneath.

Everything that you experience has consciousness. And, each consciousness is endowed with its own feeling-tone. There is great cooperation involved in the formation of the earth as you think of it. And so, the individual living structures of the planet rise up from the feeling-tone within each atom and molecule.

Once you learn to get the feeling of your own inner tone, then you are aware of its power, strength, and durability. And, you can, to some extent, ride with it into deeper realities of experience.

In other terms, it represents the expression of yourself in pure energy, from which your individuality rises, the You of you, unmistakably given identity that is never duplicated.

This energy comes from the core of BEING, from All-That-Is, and represents the source of never-ending vitality. It is Being, Being in You. As such, all of the energy and power of Being is focused and reflected through you in the direction of your three dimensional existence.
