When we wish to accurately express an experienced event, desire as we may, a purely subjective experience can not be purposefully conveyed to another in its purely subjective form.

Under normal circumstances, others can only sense the thoughts or sensing of another by their first having a sympathetic desire to receive the same. Sympathetic desire acts as an invitation attracting all that are like it. Sympathetic desire forms what is called our emotional climate. There must be a sympathetic recipient before the subjective experience of another can be perceived by a recipient.

The dilemma of expression is then: how can we initiate communication so that a recipient gets into the sympathetic disposition of receiving our desired communication? How can we express the subjective essence of our unique individual selves so that we share our most rich and valued discoveries of creativity?

We may have heard that some subjective feelings are communicated by way of empathy. However, empathy is again a perception ability on part of the empath not a communication skill available to a communicator desiring to expressly communicate.

In ES3-121 Seth explains that telepathy is an attracted sensing. Similar to thinking, the recipient must first have a common sympathy or interest before they can encompass and perceive the thoughts or subjective sensing of another.

We address the dilemma of expression by changing the form in which we express ourselves. We begin by adapting the use of objects to accomplish that end. First we mentally construct objects of form and characteristics that we can refer to as symbolically representing our subjectively recognized sensings.

We do the same as we assign sounds or words that we agree refer to the object characteristic referencing the subjective event we want expressed. We form words into language and use them to symbolize the object universe. Languages then facilitate and extend our ability to creatively express.

The spoken words of language are two steps away from the subjective sensing we want expressed. The word represents the object or characteristic that in turn represents the subjective interpretation we have previously agreed it expresses.

The written word is three steps away. To further emphasize our common use of symbolic representation in creative expression, we construct words of yet another level of symbols called alphabetic letters and now we can express ourselves in writing.

At yet another level, we construct digital characters of binary 0’s and 1’s to convey our subjective sensings, ideas, concepts and thoughts. We can now express ourselves in electronic form.

In the end, all objective and symbolic expressions convey subjective meaning only if such objective expressions are shared in common between the communicator and recipient.

Expression and communication are possible because we agree upon what objective symbols refer to subjectively. Once we agree on those meanings, we have a universe of symbols that when considered as a whole are called reality and the bundle of individual meanings called beliefs.

Expressed objects or symbols convey no subjective understanding, if we don’t first agreed upon how such symbols will be understood or that they’ll convey the subjective sensing we want communicated. Communications are ONLY possible because we share a common set of symbols previously agreed upon as referring to the universal set of subjective sensings or reality.

In summary: without first transposing our subjective perceptions into symbolic objective form, communication can not be initiated. We decide upon symbolic representation of the subjective before any event can be communicated or passed on to another. Here again successful communication demands that our choice of symbols is recognized by both communicator and recipient. The symbols we use are immaterial, it is only important that they communicate similar subjective interpretation. Such is true of all mentally constructed realities created to symbolize our only true reality the subjective reality.

Pushed Perception and Telepathy

The objective behind expression is therefore to “push” the transference of subjective perception to another. While we may at first think we could communicate our perception by showing them what we sensed, their is no way of knowing they received it accurately until they provide an expression of their perception back to us as feed back.

For example: Suppose we desire to communicate our sensing of the sun shinning upon our face, Our options for communication do NOT permit our making the sun shine upon them nor ensuring they are in the frame of mind required for them to perceive the same as us.

We may think we can drag them out of their home and into the sun light. But, there is no way to ensure they perceive what we did until they use expression to provide or communicate feed back.

In all attempts to communicate perception one to another, we are forced to use objective representations to initiate communication. Then to confirm our communications are effective, we seek to obtain feed back from the recipient. With feed back, we have a desire to obtain the feedback sympathetic to our expressions. In many instances, because our sympathies lie with perceiving the recipients understanding, we do NOT need to receive their objective expressions as we may already be in the sympathetic state where we can sense their understanding. Indeed we commonly employ telepathic perception using sympathetic expectation in obtaining feed back. Such are received like thoughts that we desire to know and expect. They are not pushed to us from a communicative personality, they are attracted and picked up by the recipient because they seek to know.

Telepathic or sympathetic perception can also occur with an initial expression, but the recipient must first be sympathetic of perceiving what we desire communicated before we can actually perceive their non-expressed subjective sensing. An individual can contemplate and desire to share some of the most precious concepts of subjective reality, but until a student is ready, willing and desirous of hearing or knowing the same, it is as if the teacher doesn’t exist. Let the student desire to know and it appears as if a teacher has magically appeared to teach.

We’ve all experienced failures of communication that occur when a recipient is NOT focused or interested in receiving our communication. These attempts fail because communications are ONLY successful when the recipient is receptive and sympathetically desiring to obtain the subjective interpretation we want to communicate. Without a sympathetic desire, no recipient or student can be forced to perceive what a communicator or teacher may desire to objectively express.

In actuality, the act of receiving a communication requires mental deconstruction of the objective symbols we used to initiate the communication. While use of mental constructs are always required to express ones self. Mental deconstruction into subjective sensing is also required to complete the transfer of anything expressed.

It is our desire to express ourselves and our psychological discoveries that fuels the creation of objective form and I propose the existence of all that exists physically.

Within the Dilemma of Expression we also find the Origins of our Individuality.

There is an even larger dilemma of expression that affects the identity of self. These dilemmas fuel changes in our perceptions of reality and our identification of self or identity. The self is but a reflection of those characteristics within reality we identify as personal. Here again the true self is subjective, the physical body is but a reflected projection of the subjective personality into objective form.

The dilemma of complete expression

We can never completely express ourselves in precisely the way we have it conceived. With each attempt at expression, the matter is changed from whatever subjective impulse first birthed the value recognizing desire to express it!

We must never fall sway to the idea, “Since I can’t get it perfect; just as well not try”.

Yet our every expression is never a perfect reproduction of the subjective personal self. In our attempts to reconstruct perfectly reflective expressions, there is always recognition of imperfections and subtle differences. With such realizations, we attempt to adjust our objective projections to make them more accurate. But with each last projection, in actuality we perceive a change in our personality resulting from that last action. By each such simple attempt to formulate or mentally construct a more perfectly reflective expression of ourselves, we expand our conscious awareness of self and our view of reality.

Within realizations of change expansions occur. With each new realizations our realities are forever changing and expanding. Ever new expanding realizations of clarity accompany our every attempt to fully express the person that we really are.

Creative expression is the fuel that propels our eternal growth of insight. With each expansion of insight, we are different from the subject we were last trying to express.

At a minimum every symbol is and requires mental construction to turn the subjective event into a representative symbol. Regardless the best of efforts and detail given to mental construction, such constructions are imperfect reproductions and we find new reflections within the camouflage of the only truly complete reality; our subjective mind.

I wonder if the subjective and objective might be the Yin and Yang of eternity. Or, maybe it is the subjective event and our attempt to express it as objective experience that is represented by Yin and Yang. Maybe it is our pondering and expression; recognition and realization.

We will forever enjoy forming and reforming our individual identities and our personal realities in the process.

We have need only to: BelieveIt 2 RealizeIt!

Additional Studies on Identity:
Seth-ES3-Session121
Seth-ES3-Session122
Seth-ES3-Session123
Seth-ES3-Session124-125
Seth-ES3-Session126
Seth-ES3-Session127
Seth-ES3-Session128
Seth-ES3-Session129
Seth-ES3-Session130
Seth-ES3-Session131
Seth-ES3-Session132
Seth-ES3-Session133
Seth-ES3-Session134-135
Seth-ES3-Session136-137
Seth-ES3-Session138
Seth-ES3-Session139-140
Seth-ES3-Session141
Seth-ES3-Session142
Seth-ES3-Session143
Seth-ES3-Session144
Seth-ES3-Session145
Seth-ES3-Session146
Seth-ES3-Session147-148

Within the dilemma of expression we find the origin of objective reality.
