We all know it is not sold at the local novelty store.\u00a0 But lets look at the most often cited contributors to that state of mind; the things we DO TRY to buy, achieve or obtain\u00a0in order to improve life.<\/p>\n<p>Contributors to Happiness (top 10 2010 new year resolutions) :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing finances, reducing debt and saving more<\/li>\n<li>Finding a Job that pays great!<\/li>\n<li>Finding that soul mate!<\/li>\n<li>Seeing our children happy!<\/li>\n<li>Finding that new look,<\/li>\n<li>Stop smoking<\/li>\n<li>Getting fit and loosing the extra weight!<\/li>\n<li>Gaining better health<\/li>\n<li>Getting that new home,<\/li>\n<li>Getting the new car,<\/li>\n<li>Traveling<\/li>\n<li>Having more fun, doing thing want to do instead of have to do.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Commonality in all of these:\u00a0 uninhibited freedom to enjoy life with others<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Money and jobs are seen as the means to getting uninhibited freedom.<\/p>\n<p>Fitness,\u00a0stopping smoking and\u00a0improved health allow one to enjoy life with their bodies.<\/p>\n<p>Finding that &#8216;Soulmate&#8217; means not just obtaining a significant other to enjoy life with, but implies a oneness, harmony, and common passion for what is enjoyed.<\/p>\n<p>The new look and\u00a0loosing weight\u00a0helps both with health and\u00a0 improvement of image. Both are believed key to &#8216;enjoying life and attracting &#8216;others&#8217;\u00a0\u00a0(significant others and family) with whom\u00a0we enjoy it .<\/p>\n<p>New cars, homes, traveling and having more fun are just some of the things\u00a0we believe we\u00a0would enjoy, if we had unihibited freedom.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the next\u00a0section &#8230;\u00a0<\/strong> We&#8217;ll take these ideas\u00a0&#8220;Meta&#8221;!\u00a0<br \/>\nIdeas are thoughts. Depending on which we choose to set or fix our gaze, we experience pain or pleasure and influence the state of our happiness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Going &#8220;Meta&#8221; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Going meta refers to taking a specific\u00a0objective analysis to another level of abstraction; to a level that describes the charactistics of objects in general. In modern views, meta refers to the recognition that there is &#8220;an X about X&#8221; relationship within a subject.<\/p>\n<p>In regards to what we know, when thinking at a meta-level, we recognize <strong>there are also things to know <\/strong>or recognize <strong>about\u00a0all things we know<\/strong>.\u00a0There are <strong>ideas about ideas <\/strong>that are common or built-into everything we &#8216;think&#8217; . There are ideas that consistently describe how we view or hold our ideas, regardless of what idea we might choose.<\/p>\n<p>These descriptions provide insights we can employ to ensure our happiness regardless of what we are experiencing in the moment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Some wikipedia definitions:<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Metatheorems<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A <strong>metatheorem<\/strong> is a <a title=\"Truth\" href=\"\/wiki\/Truth\">true<\/a> statement about a <a title=\"Formal system\" href=\"\/wiki\/Formal_system\">formal system<\/a> expressed in a metalanguage. Unlike theorems proved within a given formal system, a metatheorem is proved within a <a title=\"Metatheory\" href=\"\/wiki\/Metatheory\">metatheory<\/a>, and may reference concepts that are present in the <a title=\"Metatheory\" href=\"\/wiki\/Metatheory\">metatheory<\/a> but not the <a title=\"Object theory\" href=\"\/wiki\/Object_theory\">object theory<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Object theory<\/strong> is a theory in <a title=\"Philosophy\" href=\"\/wiki\/Philosophy\">philosophy<\/a> and <a title=\"Mathematical logic\" href=\"\/wiki\/Mathematical_logic\">mathematical logic<\/a> concerning objects and the statements that can be made about objects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happieness is a state of mind; a state of being in joy; enjoying the life.
