This year, I will give a reworked version of a last years gift.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Remember the key to remembering is <em><strong>spaced repetition<\/strong>.<\/em>\u00a0It is also the key to understanding and a key to wisdom.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\">Merry Christmas 2013 &#8211; The Gift that keeps on Giving<br \/>\n<\/strong>Monday, December 22, 2013\u00a03:22 PM<\/p>\n<p><b><i>A Christmas Game:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Life should be fun. If it&#8217;s NOT or prefer it better, change your beliefs.<br \/>\nHave fun while you change limiting beliefs into empowering ones.<br \/>\nSit back and Enjoy! This game and WILL affect the quality of your entire life.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t just help you identify better beliefs, it will change them!<\/p>\n<p><b>Background:<br \/>\n<\/b><b>Belief: \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b><\/b><em><b>We each form our individual beliefs then experience life as a reflection of the reality they describe.<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\">None of us experience life in exactly the same manner. None of us experience exactly the same reality. Our realities are uniquely defined by what we believe about reality. Each belief is uniquely ours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\">While some might think variation of perspective is delusional (from their uniquely biased perspective), the fact is, our personal beliefs form each of our unique biased perspectives of reality. Realities are different for each and our personal beliefs determine the quality of our experiences within them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Belief:<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>The quality of your every experience is affected by what you believe<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00a0The life we experience depends upon<\/p>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">our view of reality ,<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">what we value in reality, and<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">how we interact with our beliefs to realize what we value.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>We form our uniquely personal realities BY the process of deciding what we believe. Those decisions are based upon what we focus upon and what we accumulate as supporting references considered sufficient to form or conclude our beliefs.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">In actuality, what we experience as reality is entirely dependent upon what we choose to focus upon and the beliefs we form in the process.<\/p>\n<p><b>Belief:<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Since we recognize that all beliefs reflect personally biased conclusions based upon personally biased selections about where to give our attention or intentional focus, we should accept this as foundational. It is a metaphysical fact of reality:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Our BIASED perspectives create the unique realities we experience.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00a0In accepting the above belief, it should be obvious, we can embrace these realizations and use them to our advantage. Ie, <b>We can choose to be more consciously active in the process of forming our realities. We can create more empowering beliefs; beliefs that affect the quality of life we want to experience.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\">If past beliefs were formed with bias, then let\u2019s recognize and openly embrace the use of bias in forming new beliefs.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>We can intentionally conduct <\/b><b><i>biased<\/i><\/b><b> research and focus on just those supportive references that empower new unlimited beliefs to create the experiences we value<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Is it possible? <\/b>I believe we need only<br \/>\n\u201cBelieve It to Realize It and Experience It\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><b style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\">Now the Game:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\">A. \u00a0Notice:<\/b><span style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\"> what you or others believe<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>See if you and the kids can identify the underlying beliefs revealed in what they&#8217;ve just noticed or observed.<br \/>\nWhat is the belief showing through in their last observation or spoken communication?<\/li>\n<li>Listen to what others say, then ask:<br \/>\nWhat is the belief heard in their present topic of conversation?<\/li>\n<li>The variations to observing beliefs are endless. Here&#8217;s a few you can use right now:<br \/>\n&#8211; What is the underlying belief reflected in your present observation about this game?<br \/>\n&#8211; What is the underlying beliefs reflected in your reaction to the Background Beliefs mentioned above?<br \/>\n&#8211; What is the underlying beliefs\u00a0reflected in &#8220;possibility of changing experienced reality&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>B.\u00a0<\/strong><b>Evaluate<\/b>:\u00a0 Ask, is the belief empowering or NOT!<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>This is a personal value judgment. As with all qualitative characteristics, value is a belief. In this case; your belief of value or comparative ranking.<br \/>\nLike all beliefs, your value beliefs are formed\u00a0using a personal bias subject to the alternatives you&#8217;ve previously accepted as reality and how you assess their value fulfilling qualities by comparison.<br \/>\nWhile reflecting upon beliefs behind value beliefs can be a fun game variation, in this step just notice if you consider it empowering.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>C.\u00a0<\/strong><b>Identify Improvement<\/b>: Can you identify a better belief than the one observed,<\/p>\n<ol>\n<ol>\n<ol>\n<li>What would be a better belief?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Hint 1: If any belief reflects\u00a0<b>Fear or limitation<\/b>, there is quite probably a better belief.<br \/>\nHint 2: If you decided the observed belief was NOT empowering, then you already have a lead as to what belief would be more empowering. Reflect, why did you consider the observed belief disempowering?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a02. \u00a0 Proceed to step D, only if you identified a better belief.<\/p>\n<p><b>D. Supporting References:<\/b> What would support the better belief.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<ol>\n<ol>\n<li>What are the references, the evidences that would support a better belief?<\/li>\n<li>What are the evidences you can imagine would be required to conclude a change of belief?<\/li>\n<li>Can you think of an experiment or discovery that could provide the needed references sufficient to effect a complete change of how the world views this?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\">Keep score \u2013 <\/span><b style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\"><i>One point for each reference<\/i><\/b><span style=\"line-height: 1.714285714; font-size: 1rem;\"> or evidence detail that would support the new belief.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Note: Points can also be granted in regard to the current belief, if we find references that undermine or counter the current prevailing belief.<\/p>\n<p>Have fun, the more fun you have, the more change will appear in your life and lives of future generations.<\/p>\n<p>This is thinking outside of the box at it&#8217;s best.
