You project <em><strong>YOUR\u00a0<\/strong>thoughts, feelings, and expectations<\/em> outward, then you <strong><em>perceive them as the outside reality<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>When it seems to you that others are observing you, <em><strong>you are observing yourself<\/strong><\/em> from the standpoint of your own projections.<\/li>\n<li><em>Pg11<\/em><strong><em> \u2013 Basically you create your experience through your beliefs<\/em><\/strong> about yourself and the nature of reality. Another way to understand this is to realize that you create your experiences <em><strong>through your expectations<\/strong><\/em>. Your <em>feeling-tones<\/em> are your <strong>emotional attitudes<\/strong> toward <strong>yourself and life<\/strong> in general, and these generally govern the large areas of experience.<br \/>\n(Pause.) They give the overall <strong>emotional coloration<\/strong> that <strong>characterizes<\/strong> what happens to <strong>you.<\/strong> Period. <strong>You are what happens to you.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Chapter 04<\/strong> &#8211; I would call this chapter &#8211; <strong>The power to\u00a0move beliefs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Session 619 actually began very near the End of Ch 3<br \/>\nPg 55\u00a0\u00a0Imagination also plays an important part in your subjective life, as it gives <strong>mobility to your beliefs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What could we say facilitates change? Is motivates the same thing? Imagination propels the change?<\/li>\n<li>What dislodges unwanted beliefs? What\u00a0can then propel ideas in the directions you desire?\n<ul>\n<li>If we\u00a0understand what\u00a0provides mobility to beliefs, then we\u00a0understand the <strong><em>context<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0of belief change. We\u00a0may not have the details yet (they&#8217;re coming). But the context of imagination is where the magic of reality change occurs. Beliefs change within the context creating\u00a0<em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">mental constructs,<\/span><\/em> Iam-mag-ing Images projected from inner dimension of self; the process of converting or projecting the self of inner dimension IS called imagination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pg 56 [3] \u00a0There is some information necessary to physical survival that must be taught and handed down from parent to child.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">We might say this material is describing &#8220;The nature of our current predicament&#8221;; &#8220;The beginnings of\u00a0our current reality and how we&#8217;ve been working with that reality to this point:,<\/p>\n<p>Pg 57 &#8230; serves as a framework &#8230;\u00a0your parents&#8217; conceptions of the nature of reality &#8230; structure your learning experiences themselves. &#8230; without your conscious knowing &#8230;strong elements of your civilization are built upon ideas of <strong>guilt and punishment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Pg58\u00a0\u00a0[3] Largely, but not completely, your <strong><em>imagination<\/em> follows your beliefs<\/strong>, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">as do your emotions<\/span>.<br \/>\n[7] One of the most hampering beliefs of all, &#8230; is the idea that the clues to current behavior are buried and usually inaccessible. <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">This belief itself closes<\/span><\/strong> to you the contents of your own conscious mind and <strong>prevents you from looking there<\/strong> for the answers that are available.<\/p>\n<p>Pg61 [6]\u00a0Now at various times you made those conscious choices. They escaped your notice but they existed as conscious points of awareness and choice.<\/p>\n<p>Pg62-63 [2] \u00a0<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">It is vital<\/span> <\/strong>that you <strong>realize<\/strong> you are working with beliefs <strong><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">in your mind<\/span><\/em><\/strong>-that the real work is done there in the mind-and <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>not look<\/em> for immediate physical results<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>[8] Your emotions and your imagination both follow your belief. When the belief <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>vanishes<\/em><\/span> then the same emotional context is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">no longer entertained<\/span>, and your imagination turns in other directions. Beliefs automatically mobilize your emotional and imaginative powers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Can you have an emotional response\u00a0for something you&#8217;re NOT giving attention? \u00a0Can you have a belief and NOT give it attention? Would emotions remain if you didn&#8217;t give attention to the thing we&#8217;re having an emotional response to? \u00a0Where does intention come in? What part of self controls it?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pg63 [2]<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">There are <strong>various ways of altering the belief<\/strong> by substituting its opposite. One particular method is three-pronged. You generate the emotion opposite the one that arises from the belief you want to change, and you turn your imagination in the opposite direction from the one dictated by the belief. At the same time you consciously assure yourself that the unsatisfactory belief is an idea about reality and not an aspect of reality itself<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">You realize that ideas are not stationary. <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Emotions and imagination move them<\/span><\/strong> in one direction or the other, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">reinforce<\/span> them or <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">negate<\/span> them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">(Pause at 11:23.) Quite deliberately you <strong>use your conscious mind playfully<\/strong>, creating a game as children do, in which for a time you completely ignore what seems to be in physical terms and &#8220;pretend&#8221; that what you really want is real.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230; you <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">purposely pretend<\/span> <\/strong>that you have all you need financially. <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Imagine how you will<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt;\">Pg 64-65<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">Your beliefs generate emotion. &#8230; your conscious thinking largely determines your emotions &#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">[3] Your mind is meant to <strong>perceive the physical environment<\/strong> clearly, and its <strong><em>judgments<\/em> <\/strong>about the environment then <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">activate the body&#8217;s mechanisms<\/span> to bring about proper response.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">[5]you hypnotize yourself constantly with your own conscious thoughts and suggestions &#8230;<br \/>\nhypnosis merely applies to a quite normal state in which you concentrate your attention, narrowing your focus to a particular area of thought or belief. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">using hypnosis you &#8220;force-feed&#8221; <strong>a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">belief<\/span><\/strong> to yourself &#8230; you concentrate all of your attention upon the <strong>IDEA<\/strong> presented.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">Pg66 [2]\u00a0in the overall development of an individual, an illness may also be used as a method to achieve <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">another, constructive, end<\/span><\/strong>. In such a case <strong>belief<\/strong> would also be <strong>involved:<\/strong> Such a person would have to believe that an unhealthy condition was the best way to serve another purpose.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">[5] One belief, of course, can be dependent upon many others, each generating its own emotion and imaginative reality. The <strong><em>belief in <\/em><em>illness<\/em> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">itself depends upon a belief in human unworthiness, guilt and imperfection<\/span><\/strong>, for example.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">The mind does not hold just active beliefs. It contains many others in a passive state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;\">Pg 67<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">[1] The <em><strong>conscious mind<\/strong><\/em> is a vehicle for the imagination in many<br \/>\nways. The greater its knowledge the further the reach of imagination. In<br \/>\nreturn imagination enriches <strong><em>conscious reasoning<\/em><\/strong> and emotional<br \/>\nexperience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 60px;\">What is the vehicle that carries the imagination?<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 60px;\">What determines how far the vehicle can travel?<br \/>\nWhat enrichment is the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">conscious<\/span> mind focused to achieve?<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">[2]\u00a0You have not learned to use your consciousness properly or fully, &#8230;<br \/>\nThe mature conscious mind, once more, accepts data from the exterior world and from the interior one. It is only <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">when you believe that consciousness must be attuned <em><strong>only<\/strong> <\/em>to exterior<\/span> conditions that you force it to <strong>cut itself off from inner knowledge, intuitional &#8220;voices, &#8220;<\/strong> and the depths from which it springs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt;\">Pg 68 There are &#8220;fine natural interworkings that exist between the so-called conscious mind<br \/>\nand the so-called unconscious \u2014 the incredibly rich interaction&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">[1]\u00a0infinite resources are placed at the disposal of your conscious mind.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">[2] advocates of &#8216;conscious-reasoning-mind-above-all-else&#8217; &#8230;\u00a0while not recognizing their source in the inner self.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">[2,3] What have some not recognized about the inner self?<br \/>\nFrom where comes the power that creates physical reality?<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 30px;\">[4,5] On the other hand there are those who stress the great power of the inner self, the emotional being &#8230; consider the conscious mind in derogatory terms &#8230; ignoring the miraculous unity of the psyche, the fine interworkings that exist between.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0in; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11pt; padding-left: 60px;\">[4] What have some not recognized about the conscious mind<\/p>\n<p>Pg 69 The marriage of power with the vehicle meant to carry it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">[1] The conscious mind is a vehicle for the expression of the soul in<br \/>\ncorporeal terms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">What is the vehicle? What is it to carry or facilitate?<br \/>\nWhat should be the domain of the conscious mind?<br \/>\nWhat are the targets or what is the object of\u00a0assessment?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">[2] Your beliefs form your reality, your body and its condition, your personal relationships, your environment, and en masse your civilization and world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">What is temporal experience? Does temporal mean temporary? Why call it temporal?<br \/>\nWhat are some examples of appropriate expressions?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">[3] Beliefs attract appropriate emotions&#8230; Imagination and feelings follow your beliefs. It is not the other way round.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">[4,5] the conscious mind gives its orders and the inner self carries them out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">[4] What gives mobility to the vehicle? \u00a0What directs the vehicle?<br \/>\nWhat does it assess? What kind of deductions give mobility to temporal experience?<br \/>\nWhat kind of beliefs move us toward a desirable temporal experience?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">[7] What is this page talking about in the big scheme of things? Did man ever believe we create or affect the matter of reality?<br \/>\nWhat temporal experience quality must be regained to allow us movement toward our purposes for temporal experience?<\/p>\n<p>Pg 70- The universe became soulless for man and in the process man became soulless.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">What attitude was lost that needs to be regained to change the\u00a0<strong><em>quality of our experiences?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">How has our seeking to see reality objectively, as &#8216;outside&#8217; of ourselves, caused us to lose our identification with nature and see it as an <strong><em>adversary<\/em><\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">How does seeing all that is outside of ourselves as\u00a0<em>part of ourselves\u00a0<\/em>change our sensitivity to nature so that the\u00a0<em>quality\u00a0<\/em>of our temporal experience changes?<\/p>\n<p>Pg 71 &#8211; Great efforts are being made to reach what seem to be normally inaccessible areas of awareness<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">&#8230; yet there is nothing that is basically in accessible about such &#8216;inner knowledge or experience&#8217;. \u00a0&#8230; The conscious mind can quite freely focus into inner reality when you understand that it can. &#8230; You can change the focus of your own consciousness.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">[5]Your beliefs, once more, form your reality, shaping your life and all of its conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">[6] All the powers of your inner self are set into activation as a result of your conscious beliefs. You have lost your sense of responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Pg 72 &#8211; As long as you hold that conscious belief, you will experience it as reality.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">[1,2] &#8220;Regardless of your beliefs, you are terrorized by unconscious conditioning&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Is this the conscious belief behind our loss of temporal experience quality?<br \/>\nIs this false belief the reason we constantly find life&#8217;s negative aspects being reinforced to the point we conclude we are helpless and at the mercy of forces beyond control?<br \/>\nShould we decide to conclude that all <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>&#8216;victim&#8217;<\/em><\/span> beliefs are similarly false? Or, if we perceive ourselves as victims, should we begin to recognize it is of our own creation?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">[4] the only way out of it is to become aware of your beliefs, aware of your own conscious thought, and to change your beliefs so that you bring them more in line with the kind of reality you want to experience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">What comes first, a belief in being a victim of circumstances beyond our control, or the emotional feelings of being a victim? What belief would be more empowering of the emotional feelings we want to experience? What does imagination follow?
