Creativity

At the age of eight, I experienced the thrill of repairing a broken lionel train engine that my dad had disassembled after it broke on christmas day. He spent just a few minutes a week later before abandoning the repair. There it sat in my bottom drawer, reminding me I owned a train that needed play.
I knew the problem, it was clear from my fathers last attempt: the switching mechanism had created a challenge – dad had not figured out how the switching mechanism went together yet had exhausted his time. It would be three or four months later; at a time when flirting with bordom (we didn’t have electronic games with endless variations of play) –  I decided to answer the assembly challenge myself.

Knowing the purpose of the switch and looking at the pieces was like playing a puzzle. I imagined how they might be assembled and then tested each variation. Soon, I was trilled to discover the correct way the spring and lever could be assembled. Minutes later I had the train engine pulling its’ cars  around the track.

From desire to overcome that simple challenge, came creativity. Yet this creativity did NOT manifest until there was attention given to the intention of finding a solution. Further, that intention would never have formed without that desire being accompanied by beliefs: 1) that a solution was possible, and 2) that I possessed the ability to affect the solution, and 3) that I wanted it now, etc.

From success with that simple challenge came a belief of mechanical ability that would reward me for many years to follow. I watched as actions consistently followed intention when the beliefs of ability meet a challenged desire. With many challenges that followed, I continued to draw upon the beliefs that first developed that day. The beliefs were of 1) an ability to receive creative insight and 2) of  a process for manifesting from expectation.  Whenever desire and belief were strong enough, intention manifested as creative expression.

From Within

From within, desire and belief summon a creativity that is expressed into our physical experience. The expression of creativity is spontaneously and instantaneously experienced as desire summons the intention of experiencing it. But desire is just a one part of the tension  required for physical expression. The very formation of our intention requires a certain level of tension exist between our discovered desire and our beliefs of reality regarding it.

Given a minimum intensity of desire, the experience of physical creativity occurs at the point our realistic beliefs (beliefs of reality) regarding the desire are concluded true to such a degree of realistic expectant conformity that the desire and belief resonates a threashold emotional energy level or refequency sufficient for a mental image of the desire to be sensed physically.  Physical experience is but the sensible tension which exists between our desires and our core reality beliefs regarding them.

Physical manifestations are not so much creations as that they represent mental images intensified to the point they can be observed by the senses we consider physical. Prior to being visible with the physical senses, physical manifestations were first recognized as desires or objects of desire. Then, with focus of our attention and an intention of realistic evaluation, we reflect upon how it could be true to our reality. With continued attention or focusing upon the tension between our desire and our understanding of reality, we summon a creative discovery of HOW it can realistically fit in with all we already know of reality. Of such are all the discoveries of our physical world. When a sufficient level of tension is achieved, creativity from within intensifies the tension to produce a creative expression not previously observed physically.

The experience of physical creativity just happens to occur at the same time it’s foundational beliefs are concluded true to such a degree of conformity with reality that expectation resonates a threashold level of emotional energy we call the thrill of discovery. Again, that emotionally felt trill of discovery is not so much created as it is sensed from the tension of desire and the certainty of belief reaching such a level of intensity sufficient to summon creativity from within. When intense desires meet certainties of belief, the tension between them demands our attention and we are bound to watch as the experience of creativity unfolds before us.

From little more than an intention to obtain my desire, I soon recognized I could repair most all mechanical things.  One day I knew I possessed a mechanical insight for being able to envision how things worked and how to affect corrections for improvement. The intention to understand that simple train manifested as conforming events which when recognized supported the conclusion of a belief realized as reality experienced. In time,  I would discover how to fix bicycles, go-carts, lawn mowers, motor cycles, vacum sweepers, cars, computers and the programs that control them.

I find the same thrill of discovery today as my desire to experience the “abundant life” captures my minds attention intent upon understanding the forces which activate our creativity.

Manifesting Creativity

As I desire to understand how we manifest the creativity that allows us to experience the more abundant life, I find it difficult to identify any one specific act or set of actions I perform.

Since it isn’t so obvious, I am forced to recognize we must all possess the ability inately. Were it not inately possessed by all of us, we would never stumble upon it as we so often do. If it were not an inate ability poised at the tips of our fingers, mere children would not demonstrate it so naturally in play and discovery; At least not until they had been “properly educated” in the otherwise foreign practices of occultic or hidden craft.

If creativity is a foreign occultic craft, how is it that at times we are very creative and seemingly filled with spontaneous flashes of insight that we know we didn’t consciously possess moments before?

No! creativity is inate. It is within each of us. We use it so often, we take it for granted. It comes so easily with our daily creative requirements  that when we really need it for an important challenge, a challenge to something we really value, we search our conscious memory unable to find any reference to how we generate creativity. We are surprised to realize: we’ve never been “consciously” creative. That is, we can NOT recall manufacturing “creativity”, but only exercising it.

We’ve never self consciously been identified with “making” creativity the way we identify with making breakfast or walking to where we are now sitting. In fact, we can NOT actually identify with what we actually did to open this blog or what we do to read this sentence. We just know we do it.

Intention

For the things we firmly believe possible, all we do happens according to mere intention. We desire it, intend it, and our bodies instantly act to make it so. We don’t recall learning how to move our finger like we learned how to read.  But for that matter, did we really learn how to read, or just do a few things that made sense and then discovered we could read. No one really knows how we read. Consider all that you are truely doing right now as you read this.  You just intend to read and you experience “reading”; you experience knowing or forming a perception of my thoughts. We intend to translate and instantly mental meanings seem to appear as mental sounds or images but NOT the arabic characters we actually see in the words. Answer how the symbols are translated into mental sounds or images and you will be a little closer to understanding how creativity is made, produced or received.  The truth is: we don’t have to understand how creativity lights the experiences of our lives anymore than we need to know how electricity lights the rooms  of our home.  We just need to know they do! We just expect the benefits and experience them.

When we expect to move our little finger, we just intend it and we experience it. Having developed the ability to read, we just intend to know the meaning of the words and we receive understanding. Yet by now you should realize, you know as little about how understanding immerges from the written symbols, as you you do about how you move your little finger, as you do about how creativity is manifested from focusing upon a desired need and what is known of reality.

Maybe the way we move our little finger, walk down the street, understand from reading a book, or express creativity are all similar. Aren’t all creative expressions of our willed intent? If we can identify the commonalities of everyday creativity, we should be able to apply the same to receiving incredibly significant experiences as well?

We did more than recognize the symbols used in reading before our expectation of understanding became a reality. What do we do that invokes those truly incredible experiences that each of us consciously recognize manifesting every day while at the same time we know we are NOT consciously aware of how it is done?

Let us first of all recognize: creativity is NOT a conscious activity like cognition. We do NOT need to recognize or be consciously aware of the mechanics which may be involved. Creativity obviously manifests from outside our conscious selves and independant of our conscious awareness.

The creativity of movement appears with little but an intention to move. However, all that move must first desire movement and hold deep seated beliefs that: 1) movement is possible, and 2) that they possess an ability to move (meaning we meet all requirements believed required for movement), and 3) that they want to move NOW.   Remove any of these beliefs or desire and we do NOT create physical movement – the intention to move does NOT exist. Possess all four and we possess the intention to move. Possess all four and we HAVE an expectation for movement.

Attention follows expectation whether intended or not

An expectancy belief can bring a tension that compels one to attention or conscious focus. When expectancy is present and one believes the expected is something that will impact what is of value, one can do nothing less than give attention and consciously focus upon what is expected. By the time a firm belief of expectancy is formed, resistance is nearly futile and attention must be paid whether intended or not; whether what is expected is: desired or NOT.

Realizations of Creativity:

Creativity gives us the “means or the how to” experience what we desire. But, it is our belief that gives rise to that creativity, for it is belief that gives us the expectation of experiencing it. Our attention only focuses our awareness in the direction we expect to have the conscious experience we expect and hopefully desire.

We determine the experiences of consciousness of by deciding where to focus our attention. This is first initiated by our intention, but we convert the creative energy of thought into physical experience by our expectations to do so.

In creativity, we indend and then manifest attention intent upon seeing first because the object of our intentions is desired. However, attention focused intent upon seeing soon attracts related ideas which lead to becoming references supporting an expectant believe which is soon experience in reality.

The psychological desire is manifested as a physical event due to personal creativity. That’s the “creative process” and we all express it daily, hourly and in fact, momentarily.

We are always creative when we intend experiencing a thoughts expression. It is our belief of possessing creative potential that gives us the conviction and certainty that focusing our attention (an act of expectant intention) will allow us to experience the creative discovery or expression we seek. Attention with an intention to enjoy anything we are inspired to desire, always produces what we believe we can achieve. It can achieve what we desire if we’ll focus our attention upon how to make it believable or how to make it a reality.

The creativity that brings what we desire to express into our experience is a creative insight just as much as the subsequent discovery needed to make it conform with reality. We’ve all experienced creative desires personally and we experiene them daily. They are the first part of the two ideas which must resonate in harmony before value fulfillment is experienced.

Creativity allows our intentions to manifest the desires we believe will improve us. Creativity is the natural consequence of the realization: attention intent upon creative expression is always rewarded with the object we are intent upon experiencing.

Truly it was spoken: seek and ye shall find, ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be opened. Believe it, Recognize it, Realize it, Experience it!
