Which Self, Self Actualization

As series of Acts

Life is a series of acts and mini-plays in the theater of a larger production in which we all agree on certain assumptions; the props and scenes are real and all perception comes through the physical senses. We are therefore highly focused upon the actions of the play.
In the play different problems are setup for both each individual and collectively all individuals en masse. We’re:
“concerned with the actualization of intuitive truth into what you would call artistic form, with a creativity of such vast and sweeping results that it would serve to awaken latent abilities within each actor [our selves] and serve as a model of behavior.
Periods of renaissance – spiritual, artistic, or psychic – occur because of the intense inner focus of those involved in the drama are directed toward those ends. The challenge may be different in each play, but the great themes are beacons to all consciousness. They serve as models.”
Seth Speaks Ch04 Pg 49 (SS-04 pg49).

My focus this week seems to center on the self or more precisely: which “self” are we referring to when we hear such commonly accepted ideas among Seth readers.

  • You create your own reality.
  • “The [plays] lives are simultaneous. Your own multidimensional personality is so endowed that it can have these experiences and still retain its identity.” SS pg 50
  • You therefore create far more environments [plays] than you realize. Now, each actor, going about the role, focused within the play, has an inner guide line. … He has knowledge and information that comes to him through what I call the inner senses”
  • SS-04 pg 50
  • “In these he is informed through the inner senses of his other roles, and he realizes that he is far more than the self appearing in any given play.”
  • “Each actor must of himself realize, however, the nature of the production and his part in it. he must actualize himselfout of the three dimensional confines of the play’s setting.” SS-04 Pg 51
  • “each actor first actualizes himself within three-dimensional reality. The multidimensional self cannot act within three-dimensional reality until it materializes a portion of itself within it.” SS-04 Pg 51
  • Within this reality, it then brings about all kinds of creativity and development that could not appear otherwise. It must then propel itselffrom this system however, through another act, another actualization on the part of itself that is three-dimensional.
  • “Now: The meaning of the play is within you, therefore. It is only the conscious portion of you that acts so well, and that is focused so securely  within the props of the production.
  • … “The portion of any given life is available to you, the knowledge beneath the surface of the self you know. All kinds of hints and clues are available. You have the knowledge of your entire multidimensional personality at your fingertips.”
  • … “Your multidimensional personality, your true identity, the real you, is conscious of itself, as itself, in any of these roles.”
  • “These ‘period pieces,’ overall, have a particular purpose. By the very nature of consciousness, it seeks to materialize itself in as many dimensions as possible – to create from itself new levels of awareness, new offshoots. In doing so it creates all reality. Reality therefore, is always in a state of becoming.” … Consciousness can never be still, but seeks further creativity.”
  • … “It is not restricted to one three-dimensional lifetime, nor is it restricted to three-dimensional existence alone.”
  • … “the soul or entity has complete freedom of expression. it changes its form to suit its expression, and it forms environments like stage settings, and worlds to suit its purposes.”
  • …” endows three-dimensional reality, and the three-dimensional self with its own properties. The abilities of the entity lie within the three-dimensional self. The three-dimensional self, the actor, has access to this information and to these potentials.
  • “You are learning to be cocreators. You are learning to be gods as you now understand the term. You are learning responsibility – the responsibility of any individualized consciousness. You are learning to handle the energy that is yourself, for creative purposes.” SS-04 Pg54
  • … “Consciousness forms the other actors, or that realities that you cannot see exist over and beyond the physical matter that is so apparent.
  •    You can, however, using your inner senses, perceive reality as it exists apart from the play and your role in it. In order to do this you must, of course, momentarily at least turn your attention away from the constant activity that is taking place – turn off the physical senses, as it were – and switch your attention to those events that have escaped you earlier.”
  • “The soul or entity, then, is not the self that reads this book. Your environment is not simply the world about you as you know it, but also consists of past-life environments upon which you are not now focusing. Your real environment is composed of your thoughts and emotions, for from these you form not only this reality but each reality in which you take part.”
  • Your soul, the soul that you are a part of possesses the wisdom of all portions of the soul of all the conscious selves – the knowledge of one is available to the many so that full self and even the conscious self, with which you identify, is more than the sum of it’s parts. Audio Quote: Intuitive understanding; Fuller Nature Of Your Reality.  SS-06 75-76
  • … “in many ways intuitive knowledge is superior to any other kind. One prerequisite for such an intuitive understanding of the soul is the desire to achieve it. If the desire is strong enough, then you will be automatically led to experiences that will result in vivid, unmistakable subjective knowledge.” SS-06 Pg76-77
  • … “The fact is that while you hold limited concepts of your reality, then you cannot practically take advantage of many abilities that are your own; and while you have a limited concept of the soul, then to some extent you cut yourself off from the source of your own being and creativity.” SS-06 Pg 77
IN actuality, our fuller soul selves actualize inner events into our three-dimensional reality so that these can be more closely observed with greater insights realized or actualized by our soul.   Our soul’s events are physically actualized for our ego selves into three dimensional reality so that, under the ego’s scrutiny, recognition of further distinctions are actualized back to our inner selves as greater depths of insight.
All depths of insight, regardless of the three dimensional consciousness first to realize it, are available to be shared with all portions of our soul or other selves.
Here, we need just understand our potential and have a desire to understand and we find natural intentions bring us to obtaining understanding. (SSPg 77)   With intentions to receive we find, as with all thinking, we attract or perceive the new depths of insight appearing to our conscious minds as if magically provided. We seek and intuitively find, ask and it is received.

Fragments or not fragments – Identities

In actuality, we are NOT fragmented. The named portions we use for objective identification are but different intentionally directed focuses of attention, focuses of awareness, focuses of consciousness. Only because we are able to multi-task consciousness does it appear like we’re fragmented.
Yet, In another sense, each conscious task or actively directed consciousness is undoubtedly a uniquely discrete channel of expression that is uniquely identifiable – the very definition of identity.
Consciousness is just the direction that the self focuses. Our innerly directed consciousness we call our inner self.  Our outerly directed consciousness we call our ego self or more simply, but ambiguously, our “conscious self“.
Together, these non-existent but identifiable separate parts of self form a gestalt of identities we we call our “true selves”. Our true self only finds its identity or identification within the context of the fuller reality that encompasses the fuller gestalt. At this level of reality and for the sake of objective communication we identify the gestalt of individual selves as the Soul.
Holograms of information, fully conscious intelligence
Today physicists are finding our universe is best described as a hologram of information.
Within holographic creation there is completeness of information within each portion. It matters not how  many times you divide a hologram, the full information persists. Each division while it can beheld as an expression of  uniqueness when looking at the whole. Look only at any divided part and find the fullness is still within.
Our fuller Self is truly NOT a combination of separate disconnected selves, but each self identity is one and the same inner self merely beholding different perspectives of consciousness. The unique discrete identity you commonly know of as “yourself” could no better be described than analogous to the hologram of modern physics.
All the creativity and insight we possess is  possessed by the self regardless of how you define or identify the self.  Regardless of which Self you choose to identify with in the current moment, you possess all the fulness and informational  intelligence of your complete Soul and if I dare venture beyond; you possess the fullness of all that is”.
We have only to RealizeIt to BelieveIt, to ExperienceIt!
